my diVi adVenture

For some good and worthy blog...

Last Monday I went to Divisoria. It has really been a while the last time I visited the place. You see, the person that I was with was a bit 'conyo' so insisting to shop then at that place was definitely out of a question.

So I embarked on this road trip adventure.

When I put up a spa we were introduced to suppliers, so i didn't have the hassle to shop for every piece needed for the establishment. We would  browse through pictures and check specs and everything were delivered.

It was late last month that we came up with the idea of Spa Party and we would be needing some party materials for every celebration depending on their theme. My first Spa party booked was for my cousin JB-- and i bought all the materials (the ballons, papers, etc ) at the mall, but I knew that i could get a better deal if I would buy it in Divi.

So my friend and I went on to have the best adventure last Monday!

We met up at EDSA Shangrila, (since my condo is just near the area-- haha, it just had to be my way) then we took an FX ride to Quiapo Manila.

It was 10:30am and I felt we were inside a Sauna. I was all sweat and so was she-- and she's telling me that "it's gonna be worth it later.''

She is more interested in exploring "Maynila". This wasn't the first time we embark on an adventure in this old city. Some time last month while I was dealing with heartache--- we visited Luneta Park. And had this long walk going to PICC (imagine passing through the long stretch Manila Bay). I didn't complain. Because while walking she would share some knowledge and cracked some jokes because I tend to be serious. I remember warning her about my tantrums and that I am hard to deal with.

We alight at Recto and we walk through U-Belt. It was also an adventure on our taste buds as we would stop-by every sidewalk vendors for KwekKwek, Inihaw na pusit, and Mais.

Journeyed Avenida and finally made it to Ongpin for lunch. Earlier that night she had a singing engagement-- and she would text me in between sets on how excited she is for our adventure the following day. And she woke up really early as I checked my phone, she's been texting me since 7am.

And so the long walk finally came to an end- and it's definitely worth every step. We found this Siopao Boy at Ongpin

We ordered Chicken Mami and Giant Siopao. all for sharing. Hating Kapatid :-)

After lunch--- we took a tryke to Divisoria and paid PhP30.00. We looked for a place where we could buy all those materials for party the next day-- balloons, party poppers, masks, etc... And sure the place is a haven for business people who wants to work on a budget.

Outside 168--this has definitely caught our attention. My friend can't help but took a photo of this.

And we went to UP Diliman for a more Cowboy adventure

Eating Pancit Canton Kalamansi Flavor at the sidewalk. Oh Joy!

This is FREEDOM!!!

One Night in Samar

and again, my hometown.

It's always nice to blog about Samar. This is something so dear to me because this is the place where my foundations were built, 16 solid years.

To view some pictures of this magnificent island, click this link; my previous blog about my hometown for my visit last year:

http://bibobayona.blogspot.com/2012/11/samar-hidden-paradise.html

Northern Samar has many Islands of the coast, all within a boat ride away, Each Island has its own unique adventure, many Islands, many happy explorations.

All of these islands have boat access from Allen port, ( where I grew up and studied Elementary and High-School) Lavesares and Victoria offering Island-hopping trip, passenger and cargo ferry's; only costing a few peso for the trip, each island has a different travel time 2 hours being the longest (for Capul)

This trip is more personal because I just missed my Mom and my younger sibs and also to tour Hazel around  our hometown. This is just an overnight trip to my island paradise Samar.

Our itinerary:

5:00AM -Airport Check-in for Catarman Flight
7:00am- ETD from Manila
8:15am- ETA at Catarman
8:30am- picked up by Uncle Elvie and embark on a 45 min ride from Catarman to Allen
9:30am- Mom prepares brunch for us
10:00am- catch-up moment with Mommy and my younger sibs
12:00-  Lunch at a local resto in Allen, quick visit at cousin Jb's place and KSR family farm
1:30pm- Beach bumming, picture taking, merrily drinking
5:00pm- house exploration
7:00pm- dinner is served
8:00pm- bonding with family
9:00pm lights off. Goodnight Samar

Day 2

5:00am- quick brekky
6:00am- travel to Catarman Airport
8:30am- ETD from Catarman Samar airport
9:30am- Hello Again Manila (touchdown)

It's always a nice feeling to be back home

every house has its own garden-- a big difference to a condo i lived in in Manila

just lazing around

and every house has its own grotto- mind you; a reflection how devout a Christian our community is

someone is just so tired-- she can't even go to the room anymore

with Mommy

i look so much like my mother, agree?

Boody, my buddy. my youngest brother

HaBibo = Hazel & Bibo (lmao)

to get here: 1 hr plane ride via Cebupac, Zest-Air and Airphil (Check out their respective websites for bookings and promos)by land: 14-15 hour bus ride ( you can go to Cubao Terminal or Pasay and take a bus going to Matnog, Sorsogon-- end of Luzon. and from there take a RORO -ferry boat for another hour- and you're here in Northern Samar)
