Tara sa Market Market

A place that offers the vibe of a Sunday market freshness keeping the characteristics of a commercial space, Market Market was my favorite place when my office was still in Taguig. So it was a bit of nostalgia when I visited this place again.

Its themed retail zones, fruit and flowers market, and a regional food and hawker’s area recreate the souk while still providing the basic needs one expects.

 Let's roam around....

My Choices on this visit:

Dizon Farms' version of a Fro-yo bar: FRUTTIYOGURT. What makes this special is it blends the fruit and the yogurt together. Most of the Froyo bars offer plain yogurt with your choice of toppings.

Buddy's Pansit  Lucban;
Don't forget to add their special vinegar to your order of pancit!

Buko Juice each day keeps the doctor away :-)

Oh boy, I missed doing this. More posts to come,

Bibo & Co. at Fish & Co.

Reunited with my Cebu-based friends Khrissy and Ian.

Fish & Co. is actually one of Khrissy's favorite restaurants. Everytime she's in town for a quick visit we would definitely have a 'checked-in' dinner at this resto. I have been here several times and I always enjoy my dining experience, aside from the fact that I am in a company of beautiful people. You can tell from the texture of the food and its taste that it is prepared fresh. The service here can't be ignored because they really have a lot of people to address your concerns. And they give out free mint candy after meal and upon asking for your bill than can only be found here-- if you consider that a plus.

The food at Fish & Co is great but the prices are not really to be desired. But I can guarantee that you are certainly going to get your money's worth with the quality of food they offer.

Taste of Japan: Shinjuku

A rule of thumb to know if the place serves authentic cuisine is if the place is packed with locals from that country. And I am seeing a lot of Japanese people eating here on my three times of visiting this restaurant.

I was starving when I walked in this restaurant on this particular night. I just finished watching a movie in Greenbelt and I knew I was craving for Japanese food.

I think we were the last guests to be accommodated before closing so waiters acted fast to serve and were knowledgeable of their menu when asked what are the most recommended food in the menu. They were very attentive to my needs. I didn't wait long for that delicious Japanese food.

SLUSH Iced Tea at 85.00

Bibo Bayona, Shinjuku, IamBiboBayona
Their gyoza here is really good and I can really tell the difference because I tried many Japanese restos here in Manila: crunchy, freshly-cooked and one can actually taste the filling instead of just being overpowered by the flavor, or non-flavor of the cooking oil. (6pcs at 270.00)  paired with Oyakodon (Rice toppings chicken breast fillet with special egg sauce on top) at 340.00

Bibo Bayona, Shinjuku, IamBiboBayona
It is not an exaggeration to say that by far the best shrimp tempura I have tasted. Very refine and not greasy. (Priced at 345.00 )
It was the perfect place and the best treat to silence my grumbling stomach!!!

Until our next foodtrip adventure,

The Ultimate Birthday Feast (Vikings Luxury Buffet)

The largest buffet restaurant in the country and the venue of my dear friend's Raymie's birthday (who happens to work as a Dining Manager of this restaurant)-- Vikings.

Vikings Luxury Buffet
Bldg. B, By the Bay, Seaside Blvd., SM Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City
for reservations: 846-3888, 846-4888, 846-5888

Eversince its launching in the Metro, Vikings Buffet is always jampacked during dinner and weekends; and if you’re a big group, you may have difficulty getting a table, good thing the birthday celebrator is the dining manager of this area and we were treated pretty well.

"Vikings luxury-buffet restaurant is stylish, relaxed and fun; it overlooks the majestic Manila Bay through vast conservatory-like windows. The first of its kind in the Philippines, the tasteful 600-seater dining room, possess well appointed details, comfortable dining nooks while incorporating several live-action-cooking stations and a level of food quality beyond buffet expectations; from prime seafood to prime rib, gourmet pizzas to local favorites and freshly made stir-fried options thrown in; truly an epicurean epiphany."

Buckle your seat belt. It’s time to take your palate for one heck of a ride

Reunited with my The Bridge colleagues Raymie (who now works for Vikings) and Chesca (who works now as a Researcher in GMA7)

It's all worth doing the experience if you can spare PhP1000+++ for dinner; trust me- it's money worth spending at Vikings (though i didn't feel any damage on my budget since it's a birthday treat. haha)

Bibo Bayona, Vikings, IamBiboBayona

All in all, I finished three plates. And thank God for this occassion, I tried the over-rated CAVIAR (-- this once exclusive luxury reserved only for the upper echelons of society is part of their appetizers). Though I didn't feel it special maybe my taste bud is not meant for it. hahaha

If you want a Birthday to remember, then Vikings is the place to be. You'll surely give a royalty treatment for your guests-- and yes; I feel like a king in Vikings.

Until our next foodtrip adventure (and more buffet experience),

Shakey's at Home

The internet has literally shrunk the world, especially our food habit. We realized that time is something which is very short for each one of us, and instead of cooking or driving through and walking to the nearest food stall or resto, we'd rather have it just a click away and the menu is right on your screen, and within hour the food is delivered right at your doorstep.

So here I am all glued to my DVD marathon while enjoying pizza from Shakey's!

I know it's going to be a looooong night for me so I ordered a family pizza-- but a healthy one: Shakeys Garden Veggie Pan Pizza

Meister's

Lunch briefing with my good friend/photographer Joseph.

Meister's by Almon Marina
Glorietta 4-Food Choices
Ayala Center, Makati
(02) 728-4778

Right after I redeemed my Birkenstock freebies in Glorietta Mall, I met up with my good friend Joseph because we had to do a photoshoot for the blog and for product review. It was around 12 noon and both of us were really starving we couldn't make up a good idea for a shoot when we initially had our meeting at Ice Hat where we had Frozen Yogurt on the side. We figured, we need to fuel our stomach and Glorietta boosts a variety of choices for your gastronomic cravings. We agreed to try out Meister's ( Located at the FOOD CHOICES)

Bibo Bayona, IamBiboBayona
On your right side near the elevator before going to the cinema you'll find this food stall. They have a friendly budget of about PhP150 per meal. ( a combination of pasta and chicken or rice and chicken)

Serving is big enough for the price tag. And the taste-- i finished everything how generous it was. So all in all, it's a sulit lunch experience!

Until our next foodtrip adventure, I'd say there is no love sincerer than the love of food.
