Just after my Sunday work-out at Fitness First SM Megamall, I headed off to Dad's. Since this is a buffet restaurant, I made sure I ran more than the usual. I hit abut 10kilometer because I knew I have to eat not a lot of the same kind of food but a variety. I even skipped a meal and just had a powder protien shake to sustain my work-out to make sure that I gain the advantage of saving up for the parade of dishes along with nice beverages to pair with. Prices are reasonable given the quality of food and the number of selections. 695 for a buffet dinner is not that bad afterall.

Taste of Japan: Shinjuku
A rule of thumb to know if the place serves authentic cuisine is if the place is packed with locals from that country. And I am seeing a lot of Japanese people eating here on my three times of visiting this restaurant.
Shinjuku Ramen House
I was starving when I walked in this restaurant on this particular night. I just finished watching a movie in Greenbelt and I knew I was craving for Japanese food.

I think we were the last guests to be accommodated before closing so waiters acted fast to serve and were knowledgeable of their menu when asked what are the most recommended food in the menu. They were very attentive to my needs. I didn't wait long for that delicious Japanese food.
It was the perfect place and the best treat to silence my grumbling stomach!!!

Let's Celebrate: Thousand Cranes Shabushabu
It's Joseph Nunez' Birthday Dinner!

Earlier that day I had a photoshoot with the birthday boy because of the request from www.pinoyguyguide.com for their feature article after they sent out their Birkenstock gift certificate to me. (will soon blog the photoshoot as well). I thought it was all work until Tessa Delacruz arrived and mentioned about the dinner that we planned way back. I was reminded that we haven't celebrated yet the birthday of Joseph as a group. And since we were already in Ayala we decided to dine in at Greenbelt. And Thousand Crane Shabushabu it is!

It was my first time here, having already tried the other shabu-shabu restos. There is no better way to celebrate Joseph's birthday than to dine in a restaurant featuring shabu-shabu; the Japanese version of hot-pot. The food was plentiful, in fact more than we could eat.

The birthday boy and his picks for the dinner treat :-)
1 Chicken Breast Set (450.00)
1 Beef Tenderloin Set (545.00)
1 Vegetable Set (320.00)
Here we go;

Generous servings of meat and vegetables, Sate and shabu shabu sauce were superb.
![]() |
Aside from countless Selfie,(haha) we love eating squid balls, taro, noodles, taiwan pechay, crab stick, corn & chicken breast!

After a few minutes inside you can already feel the grease all over your skin and clothes. However, the flavorful smoke made me salivate even more.
Until our next foodtrip adventure, I'd don't think a lot! You'll just create a problem that wasn't even there in the first place. Just enjoy as your day unfolds.
