Bibo & Co. at Fish & Co.

Reunited with my Cebu-based friends Khrissy and Ian.

Fish & Co. is actually one of Khrissy's favorite restaurants. Everytime she's in town for a quick visit we would definitely have a 'checked-in' dinner at this resto. I have been here several times and I always enjoy my dining experience, aside from the fact that I am in a company of beautiful people. You can tell from the texture of the food and its taste that it is prepared fresh. The service here can't be ignored because they really have a lot of people to address your concerns. And they give out free mint candy after meal and upon asking for your bill than can only be found here-- if you consider that a plus.

The food at Fish & Co is great but the prices are not really to be desired. But I can guarantee that you are certainly going to get your money's worth with the quality of food they offer.

A Slice of Heaven: Tender Bob's

You may find the price a bit expensive at first but it's pretty much reasonable since the serving is generous. Even though I didn't order the expensive U.S. steak (my friend did-- and had it at medium rare upon my suggestion, hahaha, the cut was good enough for two, this is already a good deal for a price of a little less than 600.00 compared to other steakhouse restos), I was very happy with the Sizzling Salisbury Steak that I got. It was tender and tasty and the portion was also generous. The sauce on the side was also nice and salty. Even the corn and other vegetables were good. The potato skin as our appetizer is just perfect for the main course. We also ordered an all-time favorite Beef Salpicao for sharing ( I was more into the rice of the meal because I figured a cup wouldn't be enough for this binge.

They didn't seem to have enough waiters though for the size of the place.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience and I look forward to going back with my family and friends.

I totally loved this appetizer, I was so stuffed that my tummy is full even before my Salisbury Steak Meal was served.

Chillin' at Chilis

It was my good pal Mark Go's send-off  lunch out before he headed back to the US to join the military. 

And Chili's Bar and Grill is definitely a perfect setting being a known American food chain that offers a great fusion of Mexican and American food.

The Food:

 We got warm toasted chips with salsa as we wait for the food order.

My side of the table: I have Monterey Chicken: Marinated, Grilled chicken breast wth BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, cheese and diced tomatoes. Served with mashed potatoes and steamed fresh veggies.
Their Side: Since all of them are big guys (as evident on the pics- the are about 6-footer tall) each of them has BIG MOUTH BURGER BITES; four mini burgers with layers of flavor -- crispy bacon, aged cheddar cheese, sauteed onions and Ranch dressing. Served with fries, crispy onion rings, sprinkled with green onions and Jalapeno Ranch dressing.

I don't have any reference because I've never been to the US, this resto for me is a good place if you are just looking for comfort food. The quality of its cooking (esp for chicken) is great. And according to Mark,  Chili's being a US franchise has managed to keep their quality consistent.

The only downside on this branch; it gets to be crowded and noisy. I don't know if it was just lunchtime but every time I pass by this branch in Greenbelt, it is always full.  If it's any consolation though, they serve free chips while you wait.
